Hello future roommate,
I’m looking for someone to share a great apartment near Dauphiné Lacassagne. It’s 3 minutes on foot from the tram and 10 minutes from Metro line D, and 15 minutes walking distance from the train station. Grocery store, bakery, and pharmacy are all within 5 minutes.
You’ll have a 10 m² bedroom with a large wardrobe and direct access to a small garden. The apartment is originally unfurnished, but my current roommate may leave or sell most of the furniture if you’re interested!
The apartment is quiet and located on the ground floor. There are several shared storage spaces in the entrance, bathroom, etc., a large living area combining a lounge and kitchen, plus a bathroom and separate toilet.
We can adapt the space together to suit our needs!
From my point of view, the main advantages are:
1) A clean, relatively new, and quiet apartment
2) A bathtub
3) A large terrace on the living room side, great for safely storing bikes, doing DIY, or enjoying drinks in the shade during summer
A small garden on the bedroom side, which allows for gardening and provides a bit of privacy from neighbors
There is also a garage (rent included in the listed price) which is part of the lease. If you don’t need it, neither do I, so we could try subletting it.
It’s a joint lease (“bail solidaire”), so you’ll need a guarantor, and it’s eligible for housing assistance (APL). The agency accepts students and working people, and possibly other statuses as well.
Heating costs are not negligible since it’s on the ground floor, but there’s a thermostat and the radiators work well. In summer, it stays cool without a fan thanks to the north-facing bedrooms and the shade from the trees!
And sooo a few words about me:
I'm Manolis, 26 years old from Greece, and I'm on my first year of my PhD in Mathematics. In general, I'm very calm, discrete and tidy person, and cleaning is one of my priorities when it comes to leaving in a flat-sharing! I always respect the private space of the other colocs, while I'm searching for a warm and friendly environment where we can share some moments like eating together from time to time. I also like to share all the common things of the house and I'm not a maniac about shopping costs, if we keep a relative balance! I like to invite 2-3 friends from time to time to spend the evening, and of course it's fine for me if you bring people you trust! I'm also open to organizing occasional parties for our birthdays for example!
I would also like to say that I'm left-wing and I really am a safe space for queer people (And also I find it important to be in the same page the gen%cide in g@za)! Im not a smoker as well and so non-smokers would be prefered.
As you noticed, I'm writing in English since I'm not fluent in French yet, and therefore it's necessary that you speak English(or Greek haha) to be able to make it work !
Pets are fine for me, of course after some discussion about responsibilities. Adding to that, I'm thinking also of bringing at some point my dog from Greece, but this is not decided yet.
