Hello!
We (Fatemeh and Rachel) are looking for a new flatmate to join us from the 1st June 2026.
The flat has 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, bathroom, separate toilet, hallway and pantry cupboard. There is a balcony that goes nearly all the way round the flat, and each bedrooms' balcony has an outdoor table with two chairs. Lots of space for plants ;)
The building is 4 and a half minutes walk from the station, overlooking the Palais de Justice and 5 minutes from the Parc de Vernay, with a bakery / pharmacy next door. We have a cave (storage cupboard) downstairs, and access to a very crowded bike shed.
The rent is 350€ + 100€ in bills to the landlady (includes heating + water + building fees). Then we share the cost of the electricity and the WiFi between us (roughly 30€ each).
The room is furnished, with a double bed, wardrobe, desk and chair. Faces south-west, and gets lots of sun.
The housemates : Rachel & Fatemeh
Rachel is a railways engineer who loves dancing and hiking (Chambéry is a good place to be!) and cooking and plants. Be warned, there are a lot of plants in the flat ;) she's occasionally away for work, and often gets up early to hop on the train. She might be moving out in August, she's not sure yet.
Fatemeh is an art student at Bourget du Lac. She loves illustration and graphics, and is always drawing. She likes plants, baking, and going round second-hand markets.
We are both chatty, and we cook together maybe once a week, followed by board games and the occasional cinema trip.
We both speak french at work/university, but we speak english at home.
We're looking for someone friendly and chatty, who is up for spending some time together and being sociable, but who can also respect other's privacy. Ideally someone who is clean-ish (the flat isn't 100% tidy, we do live here, but we have a cleaning rota) and who won't be making too much noise at midnight on a school night. But it isn't all calm, we do like inviting people round from time to time.
